In 1996, after much encouragement from our friends and family, we entered our "Mild" and "Spicy" salsa in the California State Fair. The competition is based on flavor, texture, appearance, and canning skills. We won First Place for both our salsas.

In 1996 and 1997, we won First Place for our "Mild" and "Spicy" salsas at our local Lake County Fair.

In 2003, we started reproducing our "Mild" and our "Spicy" salsa for public sale at our local farmers markets. Throughout this time, we formulated our "Hot" salsa and entered it in the California State Fair, for which we won Second Place.
